[ The reaction is...not what she was expecting, and her bewilderment momentarily strikes her silent as she gauges his stance with another glance. Why would any night creature make so pathetic an attempt to confuse her? By now, there is no further point in hoping to lure her into a false confidence. That bridge had burned with Mina's final death.

And yet, she catches no recognition in his gaze. Does he truly not know who she is? How is such a thing possible? Here she had assumed that all vampires followed the same master, but perhaps that isn't so.

Her eyes narrow further, unimpressed by his attempt to dissuade or unsettle her, yet now frustrated by her own ignorance. ]


The face of a vampire, you mean?

[ Truthfully, he looks more human than any vampire she has seen before, but there is no mistaking her senses on these matters. She knows a night creature when they are near enough, and she would rather not waste time with whatever game he is hoping to play. ]

If you are hoping to have discovered a helpless victim on this night, you are sorely mistaken.
